Throughout November, the North Somerset Council is offering month-long free trials that could help businesses deliver during the lockdown.

Electric cargo bikes are up for grabs, potentially providing a way for restaurants, traders or couriers to operate during the second lockdown.

Executive transport authority James Tonkin believes bicycles provide a convenient mode of transportation.

Cllr Tonkin said: “Electric cargo bikes are efficient for short and fast trips. They can be rolled in pedestrian areas and are easy to park, making pickups and deliveries faster than with a van. “
